'Dandelions,' was painted by the Danish artist Bertha Wegmann around 1910. It wasn't an arbitrary choice of a plant to paint: the dandelion was used to promote the women’s liberation movement in Scandinavia because of its capacity for uncontrolled, strong-willed growth.

Started this morning teaching on creating space for social action in curricula design. Ended the day with a vibrant discussion about steps theater educators can take in the face of censorship. It’s a wild time to be preparing future educators.

Came out of hot yoga feeling full of kindness, and saw this in the coat area. Know that your community is working and it is all critical. Take care of your bodies, stay connected, do your research, and make the time for sweaty flexy bliss.

I’ve been digging hard into my practices of hope to make that not true about my middle-aged self. Looking for the horizon, where hope sits like a sun.
