I'm still steamed about some of my favorite older PC games won't run on new hardware, because they "require a Pentium 4 or higher" or used some now obsolete graphics that newer cards can't run.

My work laptop is on an Ethernet cable from the router in my office. But yeah this place isn't wired for Ethernet and I so much wish it were. Hopefully the next place will be.

We have three "whole house" wifi routers in this house, and I have to fight to get decent signal in my son's room. Allegedly these things are "mesh" and will connect to each other, but every node wants to connect to the router in my office, downstairs and at the other end of the house.
