A few casual observations from a retired builder: larger exterior surface on the right example= more energy required for HVAC. The multiple offsets on right make it architecturally appealing, but for $$ labor & engineering. Suggest overhangs on left to accommodate PV & seasonal shading=vis.appeal.

There is a vast difference in footprints for aquaculture. Closed loop systems re-use what would be pollution as nutrients. Harvesting is done on site, which is far more efficient than ocean fishing. I am opposed to farmed fishing if it's not separated from the wild environment.

Leaving the "cruelty ethics" out of the equation will garner more universal appeal, which is a necessary pellet in the buckshot to halt the GHG freight train. With already "baked in" loss of ocean production, insects for protein and closed loop aquaculture become imperative for human survival.

If we all keep doing our best, and try to be informed as to where that intersects most significantly with positive climate action, at the very worst, we'll sleep with clear consciences, and at best we'll actually succeed in a better outcome for Earth's diverse species. That should be good enough.

Let's rebuild using design principles that utilize shading and ventilation to increase comfort and reduce energy consumption. It's not that hard to do, and adds very little to construction costs. It'd be great to incentive it through expedited permitting bcuz most architects ignore its effectiveness

this probably isn't the best platform for me if verbal posts are limited to 300 characters. Not much of consequence can be even introduced with that limitation.

Pinetree Seeds is one of my "go to's" for unique veggie varieties. I also like Johnny's and DeReimer's quite a bit.
