He didn't want to write that will. He didn't want to fuck me over. He did what he could to give me a fighting chance. And he had faith that I could win the fight. That's worth more than any house.

He was protecting me and also giving me the tools I needed to get the dodgy will overturned. He was a bastard to me when I was a kid but I always believed he couldn't help himself and he regretted it. And I really am sure now I was right about him. He was so ill, but he still came through for me.

And it looks more and more like my stepdad deliberately didn't tell his sister about the issues with my mum's estate, because he was protecting me. If the sister had known she could have taken steps to eg sell his house before he died.

I haven't logged in here for a while but I wanted to let you know that while things still aren't resolved I now have all the paperwork I needed, it's only a question of time and legal work. We can definitely get my mum's estate, and there's every chance we can get my stepdad's dodgy will overturned.

We've got a pretty clear cut case with my mum's estate, with the paperwork. But the closer anyone looks at what happened with my mum's estate the less sense it makes that he'd have changed his own will the way he did. So by being greedy, the sister's possibly making things worse for herself overall.

Well, fingers crossed they're not getting away with it. It's bad enough my stepdad's sister is trying to take his estate, but she knows absolutely that my mum's estate was improperly dealt with and she's doing her best to take that too, which is next level nastiness.

They were pretty bad to begin with and the money seems to have focused it.

His sister is BAD though. A real nasty piece of work.

And we're on our way to getting the documents.

If I can get a copy of his original will, that he had for over 20 years, and a copy of my mum's will, and the contract on the property...

...I should have a strong case to get my mum's estate back... but also a decent chance of getting his most recent will nullified too.

She's also playing hardball with my mum's estate - which my stepdad didn't deal with properly - to try and take that from me too. The thing is I only wanted my mum's estate but the timing and circumstances of his will change are... good for me, weirdly.

I haven't spent any time in prison but I had friends who did.
