Our latest paper made it to the cover of Biomaterials Science! We leverage an efficient method for hydrogel micropatterning (STAMP) to fabricate complex muscle tissues like this #biohybrid iris that actuates in response to light:

Last week was full of exciting (bio)materials research! Kicked off the week with two talks on our work in both 2D and 3D biohybrid robots at the MRS spring meeting in Seattle, and wrapped up with talks on biofabrication from lab members at the annual SFB conference in Chicago. Feeling ~energized~ 💪🏽
