Really enjoyed both this fic (the prose, my god) and your retro on it. There’s something so frantic and intense about the prose rhythm that is very them and I agree about Vil’s voice. Also love the ambiguity and tension of their relationship. Hard to pick a favorite line but I /adored/ this one.
