Unless you think there's a very good reason (you're proofreading someone's resume or something for example), unprompted spelling corrections are never needed, and rarely welcome.

Folks on the internet are more obsessed with being correct than they are with having good faith conversations. It sucks.

Also, if someone made a genuine spelling error or typo, but you still effortlessly got the meaning what they were trying to say? It literally doesn't matter. Shut the fuck up.
