On vacation. Went into a shop with some really cool funky stuff. Gorgeous weird purses (my weakness), really rad shoes and accessories, stuff I thought my daughter's girlfriend would dig. Then I went in further and saw a wall of pro-Trump merch. Closed my pocketbook and turned right the F around.

The justice system didn't work before, even for white ppl, so I'm 0% surprised it continues to fail immigrants & people of color. It's just an escalation of pre-existing problems. I've been saying for ~18 years that concentration camps for Latine people were coming. Was called crazy. Yet here we are

Working for a con, I almost never get to see panels. But timing worked in my favor so I could see David Tennant's panel today.
And as a bonus, my friend Victor was the moderator and my other friend Leyel was interpreting. Three amazing beautiful humans all on one stage.

We rented a theater to watch Sound of Music in lieu of a traditional funeral for my mom. The theater erupted in the applause of our friends and family when he tore down the Nazi flag. Both of my parents would have been so proud.

My favorite part of any big holiday is getting to spend time with my family. Getting to be with my kids and their wonderful partners is the most precious gift I could hope for, especially since this was my first Christmas without Dad. My girls and my husband really are my best friends.

Went to visit my Mom in the hospital today. In the elevator leaving, the first floor button was labeled "Labyrinth." (Main floor is the second floor.) I really want to know what is on that first floor. Picturing David Bowie in tight pants and a bunch of muppets.

First world fandom problem. Macbeth with #DavidTennant will be showing in my area while I am out of town on business. And it's not showing in the place I'm going. So I won't get to see it in the theater. Hopefully it gets streamed or on DVD at some point. 😢 😭
