I got some shots up today. It’s always therapeutic, and I’m grateful I still get asked “Where’d you play?”.

Also, the teens and 20-somethings at the courts have respectfully bestowed upon me the title of “OG”…and I happily accept 😂 Basketball is a young man’s game and I served my time years ago!

My knees still felt like old bottom-of-the-purse Werthers candy after Saturdays basketball workout, but the show must go on 💪🏾 Leg Day!

-Barbell Squats
-Glute Focused Back Extension
-Single Leg Extension
-Kneeling Single Leg Curl
-Horizontal Calf Raise

Workout #5 this week: A brotha struggled at the end w/ the weighted (handles) jump rope, pushups, and ab roller BUT I survived.

I haven’t played that Retropolitan album (Skyzoo & Pete Rock) in a MINUTE but it kicked in at the right time and got me to the finish line.

- BB Squat
- Incline BB Bench Press
- Cable Overhead Tricep Extension
- Seated Calf Raise
- Weighted Jump Rope
- Pushups
- Ab Roller
- Recovery

I’d record more but doing it for every exercise is too much when I’m locked in.

I remember when I returned to deadlifting a month ago. I tried 225lbs and my body was like “Huh?!? Nahhh…” 😂 It feels good to work my way back to 315lbs. We can’t just focus on healing and reinforcing the mind…gotta focus on the body and spirit too. #blackskyfitness #blackgymsky

Shoutout to consistency! 275lbs felt lighter than usual 💪🏾 Leg days are mandatory so my knees don’t feel like they’re made of popcorn, staples, and chewing gum.
