I wrote about the Kimmel situation
The Age of Corporate Capitulation Won’t Work
Donald Trump came for Jimmy Kimmel. Disney folded immediately. It’s not just bad morals. It’s bad business.

Join the 2025 NFL Draft First Round Pick'em competition!

The goal is to select as many players as you can that are taken in the first round of the draft, but if you get one player wrong you lose. @benjaminsolak.bsky.social

Will the A's be a boon to Sacramento? Or is this just a deal with the devil? @danmoore.bsky.social on Sac's faustian bargain:

The Faustian Bargain of the “Sacramento” Athletics
The A’s three-year stay in Sacramento is a potential coup for the proud underdog sports town. It’s also a mess. What’s the price of big league dreams?

Tim Ratliff storyline broke records for going nowhere:

- he's going to jail! will he tell his family? -- he never does
- he stole a gun -- it's stolen back with no repercussions for anyone
- he puts a long-dreamt of murder-suicide plot in motion -- he bails
- his son drinks the poison -- he's fine

I enjoyed The White Lotus Season 3 but it's pretty clearly the weakest entry of the series. They low-key wasted Walton Goggins, which should be criminal.

it is absolutely inevitable that the NFL expands to 18 games plus adds a second bye week. They'll push the start of the season up a week and the end back a week so you'll get the season kickoff on Labor Day weekend and the Super Bowl on Presidents Day weekend. 24 weeks of football.

I am officially petitioning Costco to bring back the chocolate muffins that were big enough to feed a family for a week. The new ones aren't going to cut it.

making sense of the Seahawks Sam Darnold gamble
For Better or Worse, the Seahawks’ Post-Carroll Makeover Is Nearly Complete
Geno Smith and DK Metcalf are out. Sam Darnold is in. Will these shocking moves pay off? Only if John Schneider and Mike Macdonald can fix the rest of the offense quickly.

Seeing some of the $$$ floated around to NFL free agents is wild. Starting to think I should've been a football player.

The “Spags” blitzes have won so many playoff games, it’s become a part of the fabric of NFL History.

Nobody is doing it better than Spags in this era, and I wanted to know how he and this defense keep raising the bar.

Everyone Blitzes, but No One Does It Better Than Steve Spagnuolo. The Chiefs Defense Told Me Why.
Kansas City’s defensive coordinator is a maestro when it comes to attacking opponents. He could be the not-so-secret key to Super Bowl LIX.
