The most savage reactions I've seen in response to the shooting of the United Healthcare CEO come straight from the nursing subreddit, where people who are clearly used to dealing with this insurer assess the incident:

Four years ago I lost my youngest brother to a fentanyl overdose. After he died I lobbied to get fentanyl testing strips taken off the drug paraphernalia law in MN.

His birthday is tomorrow & I can't donate what I normally do in his memory, so pls consider donating to the local harm reduction org

It's interesting that TikTok is the ONLY social platform where news influencers don't skew overwhelmingly conservative, and TikTok has the highest number of LGBTQ news influencers, and it's the only app getting banned www.usermag.co/p/the-majori...

This is because ultimately corporate centrist democrats are also in favor of censoring the left.

It makes sense when you realize they're eugenecists who believe the weak should die and the strong reproduce.
Hard to square a "pro-natalist" administration with an administration that is nominating a man who would stop childhood vaccines.

Why is there no pressure on the Senate to confirm Bidens last two NLRB board member nominees?

BREAKING: The NLRB has just ruled that captive audience meetings are illegal nationwide.

These are mandatory meetings where bosses try to persuade workers not unionize, often using coercive tactics.

What I mean by this is: many trans folks will flee to blue states, and end up on the streets or couch surfing.

There is going to be dire need for housing support and mutual aid services in the very near future, and we need to be building that capability NOW.
Also, cost of living is much higher in the blue states that folks are going to be most inclined to move to in order to secure medical access.

Housing is both scarce and expensive in most blue states.

Trans folks as a whole already suffer disproportionately from poverty and housing instability.

Most people don’t know that slavery still exists. Amendment 13 abolishes slavery except where imprisoned. There should be no exceptions to abolish slavery.

"But sports!"

I truly do not give a shit about sports. But this isn't about "sports." If you offered the people obsessed with sports a full ban on trans people participating in exchange for social and legal acceptance otherwise, they'd say no way. Why? Because this isn't about sports.

People will be like "Oh! These trans people want outrageous things!" and the "outrageous things" are literally just

• legal protections against discrimination in employment, housing, healthcare, public accommodations, etc

• the ability to update identity documents to accurately reflect name/gender

Trump was going to tie Harris to trans rights no matter what Harris did, so there was no reason NOT to offer full support for trans people. And yet.
I’m starting to suspect that the people who think Harris ran a super-woke, trans-rights heavy campaign got most of their information from Trump ads and watching Rogan
This is the only policy document she produced, her platform in its entirety. It has nothing on social issues and doesn't use "woke" terminology. The campaign they wanted her her to run is the campaign she ran.

You know, kinda interesting that even though Democrats lost after letting Wall Street, immigration & war hawks, and Republicans shape the campaign, all those "allies" still won by helping craft a bipartisan consensus around their interests & electing a man who will advance them

The “allies” who had the least to lose or even the most to gain from a Trump presidency had an outsized seat at Harris’s campaign table relative to the people who had the the most to lose

The idea that Trump has won an overwhelming landslide victory and therefore has a “mandate” to transform U.S. society is entirely detached from empirical reality. And yet, it has quickly become one of the defining narratives around this election. This dangerously blunts the democratic response.
