The folks next to me the movie theater last night were talking about the enshittification of everything. The 2 takeaways were:
1. "Enshittification" has spread well outside the tech industry.
2. Love you, @alamodrafthouse.bsky.social, but nobody likes your new qr code ordering system. 😬🍿

Last weekend I sat at an outdoor park table in the sunshine next to a table with 1 man and 2 women in their early 20s. All three were quite attractive and cool looking. Then I noticed that one of the women was teaching the other two how to play jacks. 🫶The kids are alright. 🤗

A Missouri hair museum was the only one of its kind. Its unusual collection is being saved

My feral-ish cat showed up in the kitchen window promptly at 4pm thinking it was his 5pm dinner time. Sorry lil buddy, the time change is rough on all of us. 😣

I told my cat “big yawn” even though his yawn was only about a medium.

I‘m sickened by the ignorant commentary about people who rely on free food (SNAP, WIC, etc.). I got free school lunches as a teen when I lived with my mom & brother in a tiny 1bdr apt. We lived on ramen noodles at home back then. Nobody wants to need free food. 💔

I have never had more compliments on my fashion choices than the day I wore a Dolly Parton tshirt to a punk rock music fest.🤘😝 Everybody loves Dolly ❤️🦋❤️

That’s it, I’m not booking any new trips. I can’t stand leaving this guy. Look at that sad face watching me pack up. He even snuck his favorite toy into my luggage again. 😭💔

15-minute team call today and I managed to mention Dolly Parton in 3 different discussion topics. Might be a new record for me.

As you cancel streaming services, here is a casual reminder that only 16% of Americans read for pleasure anymore, and your local library has hundreds or thousands of books you haven't read.

They would love to see you stop by and renew your library card.

Ugh, being a former pack a day smoker and alcohol-abuser now qualifies me for a vaccines that you’d think they’d be handing out for free on every corner. Never thought my horrible past choices would come in handy for minimizing covid and flu risk. 🙁
