Despite Colorado being the most popular destination for river recreation in the country, we have some of the worst public access laws in the west. Common Waters, a film that will educate the public on our river access rights - or lack thereof - and inspire Coloradans to take action.

Thanks for the lift @lighthawk-org.bsky.social Great day to soar over the Green River scoping a mineral rush by foreign capitalists to plunder lithium and potash at the expense of wildlands and water from the Colorado River Basin that doesn’t exist.

For 50 years, Saggletoorh Rapid on the Dolores River, has made a lasting impression on all those who have made passage through the turbulent portal. Or in this case portaging around what seems impassable. In either account, it’s truly unforgettable.

It’s madness & somewhat dangerous working in public land conservation these days. The amount of right wing vitriol, & absolute bonkers conspiracy theory nonsense is rampant. Right here in Colorado too.

Committing millions of gallons of water to speculative mining projects is reckless and irresponsible land management @BLMUtah

Protecting the remaining islands of wildlife habitat is the most sustainable and tangible asset Americans can enjoy.

Landon Newell, a SUWA staff attorney, said the nonprofit believes the new BLM approvals “completely fail to give this remarkable landscape the respect it deserves.”
