The fist thing Dems need to do if they win congress in ‘26 is to immediately pass a bill naming the ballroom the “Barack Obama Ballroom”

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Despite refusing to coordinate with the state or city, we’re monitoring the ongoing federal deployments that are instilling fear in our communities.

Americans have a right to peaceful assembly and to make their voices heard. Even if the Trump admin won’t follow the law, we will.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Our problem isn't a lack of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding inequality.

Families shouldn't have to choose between having health care and groceries.

Republicans had no issue cutting taxes for billionaires, so they should have no issue extending relief for their own constituents.

I'm joining other governors to urge Congress to use common sense.

This is Hollywood's McCarthy Moment.

This is the litmus test.

Learn from history.

Who will step up and fight?

Who will bend the knee and be complicit?

History will remember.

How is it that American corporations, universities, institutions and even law firms seem to think that capitulation is a sound strategy?

Trump will literally never be satisfied.

You can’t bow your way out of this because he is a bottomless pit of cruelty and grievance.

The American right has fantasized about a US government that attacked speech rights and silenced descent for decades.

I legit wonder if, in the depths of their freedom fighting fever dreams, they knew they’d be on the side of the tyrannical government.

For years the right screamed about their free speech, but, Kimmel is literally taken off the air by a butthurt President and they’re nowhere to be found.

A more cynical person would say that it seems like they just wanted to call black people the N word without getting punched in the face.

i think that if the FCC threatened to revoke ABC’s license unless it replaced Jimmy Kimmel with Kevin Hart to diversify the network, Ilya Shapiro would be able to identify the issue here
This really is the final expression of "libertarianism" as it is practiced in the US today.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

New in PN: Dems need get serious about DC statehood. For real.

"Republicans act like DC residents need to earn their political rights, something they supposedly have not yet done. But consider this: If DC were populated by white Republicans, would it have statehood by now? We all know the answer."

Political violence and threats are not the answer.

This is a watershed moment — we can choose to stay silent and live in fear, or we can choose to be loud for peace and compassion.

We must work together to stop this crisis, and it should start from the top with the President.
