A blue dot swimming furiously in a red sea. Hates cauliflower, Mitch McConnel, and Multiple Sclerosis.
The one exception (for me) is people in public taking calls on speaker phone.
Everyone nearby should join into those conversations as much as possible. Maybe then people will finally stop broadcasting all their calls (esp. since the other person on the line may not be aware they're on speaker).

This all happened at a single hospital.

Every provider treating the patient has access to all their records from that hospital (thanks to EMR, they probably have access to all the patient's records period).

HIPAA is not stopping postpartum nurses from seeing what drugs were given during delivery.

Every step of diagnosis and treatment seems designed to be as dehumanizing and horrible as possible. And we pay for it with our health, our time, our money, and eventually our lives.

If you decide you can't take the side effects and just give up, they don't have to pay for any meds at all.

Not on one of the step drugs? They will then refuse to cover any symptom treatments because you aren't "in compliance with the disease protocol."

These older drugs are close to the same price as some of the newer drugs, but they work less well and have significantly worse side effects.

Why do they do this?

Even more damning, far too many on the Red side think only the Red side people deserve it, and everyone else is a bunch of lazy, entitled, free loaders who deserve nothing.

So they insist we can't do it because it would mean saving people they actually hate (and wish hatm upon).
