More than 75 per cent of films made during the silent era are now lost. Here are fragments from a few of them

Even when “Wear” is the only option I get nervous.
Some SL meme that I made years ago, I don't know if anyone still struggles with this.

Sad to read people lost confidence because some in #secondlife photographer discords and stuff can be critically non constructive or outright mean and wierdly egotistical.
Fuck 'em
You have fun taking shots. It doesn't matter if you don't have a top P.C

My last cross country road trip could have benefited from a view like this. I probably would’ve killed myself admiring it. 🤣

A strangely lovely word for this daily inner haunting.
Word of the Day is ‘uhtcearu’ [ucht-kay-aru, with the 'ch' as in the Scottish ‘loch']:

Old English for ‘the sorrow before dawn', when you lie awake in the darkness and worries crowd your mind.

Just because she’s in a room of books & holding a book doesn’t mean she’s literate. If she was actually a reader, she’d be able to string words together in a coherent manner instead of making a fool of herself at every opportunity. Quit hating the other side when your side threw you under the bus.

If you can’t think of an ethical way to use AI image generators, either you don’t understand ethics or you lack imagination. If the latter, you’re actually making the case for the flourishing of AI art.

Democracy is a tyranny of the majority.
Democracy dies in inequality.

Most output from the movie industry are ultimately forgettable time-killers. Every once in a while, though, something miraculous gets made & ends up staying with you for decades. One of those miracles is “The Fall” & it makes me happy that interest in it hasn’t yet faded.

I’d stay long enough to knit a giant “Like Water for Chocolate” blanket using the colors in the photo. Given how slowly I knit, it could be years.

It’s only a matter of time before the Ents march again.

In a world where currency is literally no object, there’s no such thing as “too much money.”
For those enamored of the expression “Playing the game on Hard Mode”, may I suggest “don’t make too much money”

Sounds a lot like liberals & conservatives.
Word of the day is ‘sequaciousness’ (16th century): the slavish and reckless following of another person in matters of thought or opinion.

Balance is not achieved by chance but by the harmony of nature’s patience, where even the moon finds its perfect place atop a timeless sculpture.

Feeling kinship with this pic as I’m mentally enumerating the people I’d toss into the vortex without a second thought or ounce of regret.

If you’re wondering which colors go well together in your knitting projects, always look to nature. Nothing ever clashes unless humans make it so.

First impressions of BlueSky so far: It’s more work to keep the delooloo horde from harshing my mellow feed. Not cool. “Show less like this” is clearly a vanity option that some UI designer pitched a fit about including but Dev never got around to fully implementing.
