Can't top that one.

At least you have the undergarments for that kind of life.

Not a page turner but a good ancillary book. WW2 exploits of former CIA Directors who were recruited and worked for Bill Donovan, including Dulles, Helms, Colby, Casey.

Study & personal experience.
To perceive the Radiance of Existence, one must break the ego. Silence the inner voice to see reality as it is; beyond opposites & separation. Meditating on Christ on the Cross, the Lotus of Vishnu or a Taoist Art. All are boats to the same place, if our hearts are open.

Written experience of transcendence by Chrisitan mystics and Indian sound same. Like the Cloud of Unknowing or 7th Chakra contemplation.
The design of tool or boat doesn't matter. Its the commitment of contemplation of that boat is what leads to the other shore.

Final step it to leave it behind.

Listening to-
Yrs ago BBC 3 recorded all 9 symphonies of Beethoven with BBC Orchestra. It was available for download and I grabbed them.
Interesting to listen in order or pick and choose. Heard 5th going to the hardware store today. Now the 9th.

4/Turned the bass up to 10 and vol up to house shaking levels and sounded like a bass guitar/amp. Treble up to 10, very high. No distortion either.
So yes, TL806/EVM 12L speaker/box combo can be close to a 4x12 cabinet in performance.
End.

3/Results-Electro-Voice claimed that the small cabinet design would be comparable to a large 4 speaker cabinet in performance. Is it? Bass & treble response was like that of a larger cab at volume.

2/Now the real test would be with a high powered amp?
For this I used my Fender Quad Reverb head (essentially a Twin Amp head) rated at a nominal 100 watts. Since it is 4 ohms out I used a Weber Z-Matcher to convert to 8 ohms of the EVM.

🧵Guitar stuff-TL806/EVM 12L high powered test results

1/As I have posted, got a speaker cabinet designed specifically for a EVM 12L guitar speaker. Tested with low to medium powered modified Fender Blues Jr Amp (a nominal loud 15 watts).

6/TL806- Loudest of all. Even deeper base once center port opened. No rumble. Clear highs.

Conclusion- best results for 12Ls can be attained using cab designed for them. At 200 watts rating & efficiency of cabinet design, TL806 small foot print speaker/box combo could rival a 4x12 cabinet.
End.

5/Results.
-Peavey sounded compressed. Plays well with Swamp Thang speaker in Jr combo and my tone settings but in these settings.
-Home Built- Better depth and range. The size of box and internal space makes a difference.

2/and cabinet design to take advantage. Called Thiele cabinets, they are meant to make big sound, clear prominent bass from small boxes. So, of course, I had to test. Had a cab built to TL806 specs, added speaker and lined them up.

Guitar Stuff-
Got the Epiphone Probucker pickups the other day and came back in town ready to install one on the Stratocaster. Cracked it open and found a much more complicated install instead of just a couple of wires. Oh well, will work on tomorrow along with the EV TL806 cabinet.

2/The music is a testament to unrestrained youth energy.
2 min anthems shouting their rebellion.
Included in the double LP was a booklet with each band getting a page. The whole thing a showcase of photocopier & x-acto art.

1/ Listened to a record on the drive yesterday, it being a compilation of Calif punk from early 80s. I got it when it came out with no clue what was on it but loved the graphics. These were kids immersed in the Reagan Calif governor, then Pres, Republican Administrations.

Will be a few days before I'm back in WV. Plan to line up on on stools with other two cabs, open back Peavey and the larger semi-open home built one. All with same speaker, using same amp & about the same height. Probably use modified Blues Jr ( 8 ohm output) & change plug from one to the other.

Been buying Electro-Voice EVM 12L guitar speakers. Sound great in open back cabinets. But there's a specific design calculated to work directly with the speaker's measured characteristics.
Came in & got a chance to look at it. Follows plans. Kid added removeable batting to try with or without.

Driving at night, listening to music and smoking a cigar is the way to travel.

As an aside, the availability of heating and air conditioning has made some blues lyrics archaic.

🎵"Raise your window baby
I an't going out that door

There's a man downstairs
It may be your husband
I don't know"🎵

Trump Solicitor General argued tariffs are only incidentally revenue raising. Founders may disagree. Tariff Act of 1789 was sponsored by Congressman James Madison, passed by the 1st Congress and signed by Pres Washington. Its stated purpose was to raise revenue for the new United States.
