Music obsessive. Gig goer. Disco pickle. Cinephile. Bookworm. Guinness drinker. Red wine drinker. Pizza eater. Cookie monster. Crisp addict. 🌈
Next in the Bowie discography - the divisive albums (in my opinion anyway!). Don’t know how far I’ll get with these - doubt any of these songs will make the Bowie 31 (maybe “Never Let Me Down” - I do have a soft spot for that song)

Shall we have a dance? It’s Saturday night after all 🪩

Not that I need any excuse to play her music - but since it’s Björk’s 60th today - all the more reason for getting these two on!

Say hello to my little friend… 🍷

Cheers everyone - happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend 😁👍🏻

Out of office is on - no work for a week!

Now officially wine o’clock… except I’m going to go for a run first! Wine after 😁🍷

Carrying on with “Vanishing Point” by Primal Scream. Mani’s first album with the band - that bass line on “Kowalski” - he made his entrance
November 20, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Only makes sense to blast this classic - Mani opens it. You will always be adored mate 💔
November 20, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Processing the news that Mani has passed away.

Had the pleasure of seeing him live on a number of occasions - both with The Stone Roses and Primal Scream.

A legend. RIP mate x

Just finished “The Beast In Me”

Really enjoyed that - perfect for these wintery evenings! And always a delight seeing Claire Danes - brilliant as always!

Cheers for the recommendation @sussexswimmer.bsky.social 😁👍🏻

Managed to get some Florence tickets through a work colleague - through all that I forgot about the Pulp presale 😂. Anyway - just managed to get Pulp tickets as well 🙌🏻

It’s been a good day - albeit an expensive one 😂. (Please no more gig announcements until after Christmas 😂)

#TicketStubWed

Being obsessed with Deserter’s Songs, I was really excited to see Mercury Rev - who were as gorgeous as expected!

The Flaming Lips were in support- who were about to release The Soft Bulletin. Those visuals behind them - including an operation - anyone want the rest of this beer 😳🤢

This one? Think we bought the same t-shirt!!

(Photo taken a few years ago to show a friend - ordered it together with her last album)
November 18, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Don’t mind if I do! Always love a bit more Pulp!
November 17, 2025 at 6:45 PM
My format of choice…
November 17, 2025 at 6:27 AM
Baby it’s cold outside - but I’m still having an ice cream!
November 16, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Scary monsters… and super creeps…

How many of those do we know 😂

Lazy Sunday afternoon beckons! Dinner is in the oven - I’m not needed - getting Bowie’s European suite on and an edit of my Bowie 31 (I’ve lost count of how many are on the long list!!
November 16, 2025 at 1:45 PM
You heard the song - now buy the T-shirt 🙌🏻 🙌🏻

Happy Sunday everyone!

Wet Leg - Mountford Hall, Liverpool

Bit of a bust unfortunately. Had a couple from Manchester stood next to me and would not shut up - only to move to another location with the exact same thing! Chat, chat, chat until they played “Chaise Longue”!

Wet Leg - in future - play that first!!
November 15, 2025 at 10:41 PM
Heading out a bit later - but having a glass of red and some more Bowie Top 31 edits.

Station To Station next - the Thin White Duke throwing darts in lovers' eyes…

(@modernminstrel.bsky.social noticed last week I bypassed “Pin Ups”! Completely forgot about it - but it’s a covers album anyway!)

Got back from seeing “I Swear”

It opened with me laughing as John Davidson shouted “F**k the Queen” when entering Holyrood Palace to accept his MBE - it ended with me bawling my eyes out. It was funny, moving and profound

Stop Crying Your Heart Out played in the closing credits. Alright Oasis 😢

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Arts Club, Liverpool

There’s nothing like sex, hedonism, sacrilege, danger and violence on a Friday night! Wrapped up in twee vocals and gorgeous, ethereal guitars! It’s the cute one’s you have to watch!!
November 14, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Made it to the venue without being swept away/drenched! Guinness in order!

Here to see The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - their t-shirts are £20. Which warrants conversations about the reasonable price of band tees!
November 14, 2025 at 8:11 PM
I hear that!! Happy to be home and in bed by 10 these days 😂😂

I bought an apron off their merch stand when I last saw them on their Philaphobia anniversary tour - said hello
- they were really lovely. I’ve not worn it - been folded up in a drawer!!
