In 2014 during the net neutrality wars, Obama voiced his support for net neutrality. Republicans REPEATEDLY, for YEARS, (falsely) claimed this was an illegal, unethical affront to FCC independence.

11 years later they now insist the FCC has no independence and serves at the whims of our mad king:
FCC chief Brendan Carr tells Senate that his agency is 'not formally ... independent'
FCC chairman Brendan Carr testified to a congressional committee for the first time since ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel's show following a Carr threat.

If you read most U.S. journalism, the fact that most of our sectors (guns, energy, telecom, healthcare, whatever) has been completely broken by corruption and unchecked corporate power just..isn't mentioned.

It's as if editors think being honest about this is inherently biased or impolite.

There’s a lot of political commentary about Marjorie Taylor Greene resigning, but one important point is this: she entered Congress in 2021 with an estimated net worth of about $700,000, and is leaving in 2025 with a net worth of roughly $25 million.
