Tasteless bitterness of lazy times,
alienates and chains with silent rhymes
both the affluent and the lively soul,
yet the hidden cause, shan’t easily unroll.

The wall before me, might it be
a filter so tight, a reality thief,
severing me from the light realm, unseen.

Göbekli Tepe blows my mind, it predates human history. Built ~7000 years before the Egyptian pyramids. It has 20 feet T-pillars carved with animals.
It's located in Turkey, old "Fertile Crescent". I suggest you to make some research about this and other sites in the region.

Merry Christmas everyone 🎄!
Even if you’re struggling recently, take a moment to have a phone call to someone you love. The world needs a little bit more love.

This is not a snowflake. It's a Zinc Sulfide nano particle I produced by Chemical Deposition, seen with a SEM and Raman instrument. #Art is intrinsic in #Nature itself.

My Bluesky is like living in a little village where you acknowledge the same 10 people every day

My Twitter was like living in the red light district of a dystopian hell hole

One may be boring but the other, whilst stimulating is bad for my mental health

One of my favorite passages from "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil" by J.R.R. Tolkien.

But one day Tom, he went and caught the River-daughter,
in green gown, flowing hair, sitting in the rushes,
singing old water-songs to birds upon the bushes.

Try this: W. Wordsworth’s ‘recollection in tranquillity’ principle.

When you experience writer’s block go for a hike in the nature.
Then come back home, sit peacefully, and observe your writing becoming an unstoppable river.
It worked for him and for me, it will for you too.

And in this state of mind
I can visualise the essence, the truth
A short extract from one of my fantasy characters, hope you like it...

Tell me lady of the night,
Inspire my heart more than my sight,
allow me to write my insight,
and what comes to my mind when I look at you

A short extract from something I wrote a few years ago. It motivates me to write even more. Bonus points if you like LOTR.

This was my first kesterite solar cell. The EQE instrument “shoots” a laser (with an increasing wavelength over time) and the two contacts measure the photocurrent generated and the EQE “external quantum efficiency” = n(electrons out)/n(photons in)

Piazza del Campo (“Field square”) one day after the “Palio” competition. Dating back to the 17th century, it features ten jockeys representing ten of the city’s 17 historic contrade, competing in a horse race. It embodies intense rivalries, including historical parades and contrade celebrations.

Currently developing my table game with my friend. We started a year ago, the goal is still far but it’s fulfilling and fun to play.

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”

Only facing and integrating unknown aspects of our personality (the shadow) we can really be ourselves.

For who doesn’t know the construction of the “Duomo” of Milan began in 1386 and ended in 1965. Marble and other materials were transported by ships through the “Navigli” canals which, in the past, ran across the whole city. In the 20th century they were filled to build roads for cars :(

Wondering about why speculative fiction sticks with us longer than "realistic" fiction? Honestly I think because it’s like a Trojan Horse. We lower our defenses for dragons and starships but, while we’re distracted by the cool aesthetics, the authors smuggle in difficult truths about being human.
