The most effective thing that movement conservatism has done is to pick bad-faith fights with Democrats, forcing them to litigate things that shouldn’t be up for discussion (like civil and human rights).
They then use that to drown out any Democratic accomplishments on things like the economy.

This is an echo of the general election. The trans Democrat is blamed for "sparking" the crisis despite the fact she did nothing beyond be herself.
