I think there’s other reasons, but for the average Joe there seems to be a lot of “my brain doesn’t want to deal with this, so instead I’m gonna direct my frustration at the person who made my brain feel bad and anyone who reminds me of them instead, cos then my brain will never feel bad” behaviour.

The left is “more annoying” cos they’re asking you to change while the right is asking you to double down on your worst knee jerk opinion. But changing is harder on the brain than doubling down on knee jerk opinions so you’re going to have more tolerance for the group asking you to change less

Chalk is incredible, watched this episode last night. The interrogation, mind palace flash back trickery scene was awesome; what an amazing & devastating reveal.
