Well, the 2nd half of the day was not as robust. 30,000 steps was ambitious. I had to call it a day due to my aching feet; otherwise, my stamina could have easily carried me there. Nonetheless, a solid day of #physicalfitness #exercise #healthyliving. 💪🏼🫀⚕️

My friends, a healthy reminder that a modest 15 minute brisk walk following a meal enhances the body’s capacity to clear out excess glucose, triglycerides & fatty acids from circulation. Accompanied by a reduction in exposure to harmful oxidative stress & inflammation. Healthy wins all around! 💪🏼🫀⚕️

Refueling with a delightful din din at High St. Wine Co. in SAT. A delicious smoked salmon flat bread with arugula greens, topped with extra virgin olive (I sneaked in my own bottle of olive oil). 🙂

All right! Solid 1st half of the day for #physicalfitness #exercise. I’ve been ramping up both the intensity & duration to put my mind & body in prime shape for next month’s 5K run. For today, my goal is to reach 30,000 steps. 💪🏼🫀⚕️

⚕️🧵 Hi friends, my lengthy diagnostic evaluation into the cause of my #osteoporosis has reached its conclusion. This week, I met with my Endocrinologist, who confirmed the clinical diagnosis of #hypophosphatasia (HPP) — a rare disorder that causes poor mineralization of the skeleton.

After arriving early for my Doctor’s appointment (55 min in advance), I relaxed in the foyer. Did some breathing exercises. Positive thinking. Did not cross my legs. About 30 min later, the MA checks me in. A couple more relaxed deep breaths while seated. BP (manual cuff): 110/64 mm Hg. 🙂

A delightful & productive Sunday: healthy nutrition (milk, nuts, cheese, salad, veggies, salmon, sparkling mineral water), household chores, reading, Coco time & physical fitness. Squeezed in another one mile brisk walk & resistance training before bed. Already looking forward to morning coffee. ☕️

"Among older women, achieving ≥ 4000 steps/day on even 1–2 days/week was associated with lower mortality and CVD, while more steps were associated with even better outcomes. A greater number of steps, regardless of daily patterns, is associated with better health outcomes."
In a cohort of over 13,500 women with mean age ~72 years, >4,000 steps per day, at least 1-2 days per week, was associated with reduction in all-cause mortality and lower risk of cardiovascular disease

After seeing the haunting movie, 'A House of Dynamite', I felt compelled to re-review a much earlier film, 'By Dawn's Early Light' (1990). The rogue acting president of the US, played by Darren McGavin, is the scariest character of this film, in my opinion.
