#sQuid, a company that provided cashless payment services in schools is closing down. They are charging parents a £10 “administration fee” to return any sums they have held in deposit. As if that were the parents’ fault. Pure. Evil. #squidcard #squid-card schoolsweek.co.uk/squid-give-u...

This is the Conservative’s legacy of failure on crime. Thousands of victims left without the justice every single day.

Things cannot continue like this. Our communities deserve to feel safe - and that includes being confident that if you’re the victim of a crime, the police will turn up.

Politicians have been failing on social care for far too long. Millions are suffering, being hit financially, living in misery and pain.

We have got to tackle this. Liberal Democrats stand ready to work with the government and any party to secure a long term plan to save social care.

Posted this on X (then Twitter) in Nov 2019: the pie chart shows the proportion of taxpayer money (~3%) the UK contributed to the European Union (EU) budget at the time: a sliver contrary to claims by those favouring #Brexit huge sums were sent, not leaving the UK enough funds to run itself. Sad.
