I was feeding the cats this morning and while they were eating I heard a meow from the living room. The thing is so did the cats as they all turned their heads to look. I know Harley is and always will be with us but this was the 2nd meow I heard from a room with no cats in it since he passed.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Harley this morning. His diabetes and dementia finally won. He was my buddy for 5 years and my wife’s cat for 12 and will be dearly missed.
Thanks to everyone that helped support him this last year, you helped us get 1 more year with him.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Harley this morning. His diabetes and dementia finally won. He was my buddy for 5 years and my wife’s cat for 12 and will be dearly missed.

They live with my ex in another state and I see them maybe once a year but she sends me pics like this frequently. They are all getting older - Ezri 15, Jazzy 12 and Luna 8 and I miss them dearly

Has anyone dealt with a cat that has dementia. We think Harley is starting to show signs of dementia (age and blood sugar probably is not helping)
He meows a lot and seems lost sometimes and confused. No issues with “outside of litter box” stuff thankfully

Today’s Harley update: the appetite stimulator we started last night seems to be working. While not eating as much as he used to he is eating more. Ultrasound tomorrow to find out more!
