Discovered this in a bundle of papers from my distant past, horried to discover I am compromised as an clean energy activist. Also a bit surprised that I got an award but one star probably just means I put my shorts on the right way round.

What do you reckon, bleeps? I put this swift box up (a long shot!) with a little homemade ramp someone online said would help, but it just meant that sparrows nested in it. Do I remove the ramp (try to rededicate it to swifts) or let the sparrows keep it?

If you come to York (a worthwhile thing) and anyone comes out with this "Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate is the longest street name in York" nonsense, just say "Lower Darnborough Street" to them.

This week I learnt that horses are surprisingly dexterous with those lips when looking for mints in a jacket pocket in a cycle pannier. And will eat the padding out of a helmet (presumably because salty)

Occasionally I get to go out from my desk and do some community energy work in the field. Yesterday was a literal field and the first time I ever got to use my lumphammer professionally.

Just peeled off the York Pride march, it's absolutely thronging. I've got to go play a gig this afternoon and hard to believe there's going to be anyone left in York to attend it.

It really is all over for Google being a touchstone for useful information. An innocent search for 'Rochdale' results in conspiracy theory posts from a far-right "news" source on X about Covid-19 before any actual information about Rochdale.
