A warm session at the Naze on tuesday. No pied flycatcher for me, but plenty of chiff chaff families, spotted flycatchers and a juvenile green woodpecker. The sand martin colony looks like Petra from the Last Crusade! #birds #ukbirds #essexbirding

Excellent visit to Devil's dyke today Very hot at 10am. Butterflies always in the move. Over 70 chalk hill blues seen, plus 4 Dk green fritillary, various whites, peacocks, gatekeeper, meadow brown, small copper. @chrisdipperboyd.bsky.social @epollard.bsky.social @bc-cambs-essex.bsky.social
