What's on the other side of the end of the universe?
I might wait until noon tomorrow to say too much about Boulder City Council race, but how 'bout Boulder Valley School Board District E? Margin right now is 0.12%!

I wish "The Hill" would put up 20 or 30 more pop-ups when you just go there for a second to check election results.

Second-most-famous Will Smith slap ever!

Everybody should watch this. I'm super-proud of my congressman!
I love how Rep. Joe Neguse reframed this question.

I couldn't say it any better!
Mamdani is already getting the criminals out of NYC!

Well, hard to deny that only the U.S. military could take out THESE domestic terrorists:

Those who cast partisan blame on an action without decent evidence are more than likely just trying to capture the narrative. The sooner more people understand this, the better we'll be as a nation. It's up to all of us - don't let yourself get played!

Hey, Colorado's Manny Rutinel, candidate for CD-8, is in there! I'm not. Gotta step up my game...

Colorado Rockies have found the answer! Not trying to be too snarky about win #42, they didn't quit and I probably would have.

Chris oughta know. This is mind-numbingly stupid.
The 4 Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research labs (under the NOAA umbrella) that would close under the Trump administration's proposed 2026 budget.

This would effectively end Colorado's status as a global leader in climate research. An absolute travesty.

How to deal with life when the only good news is Denver Nuggets recent free agent pickups and trades? Hoping to live at least until next season.
July 1, 2025 at 11:49 PM
I'll miss MPJ on the Nuggets, but Cam Johnson is solid. I always thought MPJ was a bit misused, a lot of standing in the corner waiting for a 3 probably didn't help his overall game. He's a above average rebounder, not the best handles, but when he was hot he was hot.

Game 7 reminded me of Nuggets/OKC G7 - Pacers played them tough but a big player went out & they just didn't have the juice. I don't like the SGA whistle, but OKC was super tenacious on D all year (Dort, Caruso), with talent (SGA, Williams), size (Chet, Hartenstein), and depth. A legit title.

So, no Haliburton and no Tatum for at least most of next season. I'm not saying this is the reason for either injury, but the NBA season is too long. Of course I'm still watching, though...
June 23, 2025 at 1:28 AM
This is super-far-down on my mental priority list, but I keep imagining how the 2024-25 Nuggets would've done by just adding Obi Toppin to the roster.

I haven't watched a second of Stanley Cup regulation time, but tuned in for OT on both games and man is it intense!

I'm still more into hoops than hockey, but there is no pathetic flopping in NHL Finals overtime! Then, after 18 minutes of legalized brutality, there's a penalty for flipping the puck over the boards, & Oilers win on the power play with seconds remaining.
June 5, 2025 at 3:52 AM
OKC's smoking of the Timberwolves makes me feel a bit better about the Nuggets series. They can really blow good teams away. Talent, size, depth, athleticism. I will be surprised if they don't win the Finals.

Go get 'em, Joe!
Neguse was grilling Jim Jordan so hard this morning over language in the reconciliation bill to restrict federal judges' ability to enforce court penalties that Jordan had to consult with his lawyers
May 21, 2025 at 3:57 PM
OK, I give. Here's Nuggets '25 post-mortem - a) Physically, they just weren't going to do it in Game 7 b) We got badly out-fundamentaled this game - gotta make open 3s and layups and have ball control c) OKC's physical aggressiveness was frustrating to watch but largely legal, we've gotta do it too
May 18, 2025 at 9:51 PM
I literally hear Thunder outside right now. Not a good omen unless Nuggets can get lots of 3-point shooting practice between the 3rd and 4th quarters.
May 18, 2025 at 9:08 PM
The reffing sucks in this game, but the Nuggets still have to move out of and around some of the pressure. Coach has gotta adjust, all five on the court have to do the same.
May 18, 2025 at 9:01 PM
AG already with one more rebound than I counted on, so that's a positive!
May 18, 2025 at 7:46 PM
I know the world's going to shit, but I've been reading stuff from Shams telling me AG's out for a month; out for a couple weeks; and now he's going to play and start. I'll believe everything when I see it, thanks!
