I have made Elis James (and producer Dave) and Mark Kermode laugh. What more could anyone want from life.
Here we have Grok AI blindly speculating on the name of the ex-footballer arrested today.

If I was Alli or Wilshere I’d be speaking to my lawyers right about now…

Nearly £20 for a journey which last less than half an hour.

Every other journey on the same line around it is £8. (Guess which one I need to get!)

The new Bond needs to do nothing of the sort.

The Craig films work as a self contained series showing Bond from start to finish.

Moving forward, ignore them, start again, pretend they didn’t happen.

What you absolutely don’t try to do is bring him back from the dead.

This should be obvious…

Frankenstein (2025)

I gave this an hour, and the realisation when I saw that there was still another 90 minutes to go made my heart sink.

It looks beautiful in places but I really struggled to get into it.

This is a really lovely touch from the club!

Edgar Wright is easily up there with one of my favourite directors. The sound of his films, the way they look, the way they’re edited… the attention to details in every possible aspect is incredible.

This scene encapsulates it all. The song is perfect, the transition from present to past…

Bit behind the curve but I just finished watching this and thought it was absolutely brilliant! A proper celebration of film, and send up of Hollywood, with a fantastic cast. The celebrity cameos, playing themselves, are brilliant done, and the direction - especially in the…

Begin Again (2013)

I’ve likely posted about this film before, but it’s just great.

John Carney is just so brilliant at making musicals. At making films about connection. He’s an absolute master of the art!

Two former Sunderland players (of vastly different levels of quality) on the scoresheet here!

Look, it’s going to be a long season, with difficult time, and the league table is going to very different in May than what it does right now.

But if you can’t enjoy this that what the hell are you doing supporting a football club! Enjoy it! Embrace it!

Almost gave up on this after the first episode, I just could get on board with any of the characters, but I’ve just finished series 1 and I’m really pleased I stuck with it!

There’s a lot of heart here that wasn’t immediately apparent and I’m looking forward to jumping into series 2!

Obviously it’s ridiculous to make predictions at this stage. Like it makes no sense, there’s still 37 games to go, the transfer windows still open and today doesn’t necessarily mean anything…

But these three get relegated this season.

This was really great! And such a shame it hasn’t been picked up for a second series.

Clearly influenced by the classic murder mysteries, and by more modern classics like Knives Out.

Uzo Adubo is fantastic as Cordelia Cupp, our birder detective and Randall Park magnificent as her…

Wow! What a scoreline!!

How different things could have been for Sheff Utd if VAR wasn’t used at Wembley (though, obviously, I’m glad it was!)

What if? (2014)

The last time I watched this film I was drunk and I wrote

“DR and ZK have excellent chemistry here. And I think I'm a little in love with both of them.”

And perhaps I’m drunk this time too, but this is absolutely true!

This is a good rom-com elevated by the chemistry of its leads

This rail replacement bus service is more expensive than it is to catch the train.

And nearly 1 hour longer.

Why?
