Communication, like free will, is an illusion. But we must try.
Life can be very wearing.
When I was going through a particularly wearing and wearying period I found comfort in regularly listening to JJ Heller’s Your Hands, and to Tenth Avenue North’s Worn.
Praying for your friend, and for refreshing.

Hmmm, let’s see. For Jesus’s life incarnate, crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and imminent return. For faith, for hope, for charity. For family and friends. For libraries. For a timely Bible verse. For the day’s simple pleasures. For a good book. For being reminded to remember these things.

Reminds me of this from Being God’s Image, author @carmenjoyimes.bsky.social, “When we pay attention to the story [Genesis 2] as it’s told, the first thing we discover is that humans are meant to be gardeners.”

Amen, spot on. Which, I confess, turns me to the imprecatory Psalms in addition to the lamenting Psalms. 😬

Me either, except to lament. :( Which turns me to Psalms. And to some affirming passages in Isaiah.

That is so cool! I love Christopher J. H. Wright’s book The Mission of God. Very fitting you are now included in it, I love your book Disarming Leviathan as well.
Also your interview of C. Wright on the Disarming Leviathan Podcast was fantastic.

Sheds new light on then candidate Hillary Clinton's comment about the basket of deplorables. She was wrong to call Trump supporters deplorable (no political leader should call any citizen or resident deplorable), but the language and actions from Republican leaders under Trump sure are deplorable.

I’m sorry you had a day like that, glad to see you welcome this glorious Monday, even when not so positive, in spite of it.
