A light read but very good. A set of columns from a dying man.

One of my fav paintings - IKB 43. It’s an immersive experience. & he meant the intense, vibrating color to feel dimensionless, drawing you out of reality and into an “immaterial dimension”. He described it as moving from “nothing, then… a profound nothingness, after that a blue profundity” #art

It’s Countryfile time and as always I have questions, this shows you what an acre is and probs why it exists. Looks about what one family could farm in the past.

Totally agree with Sean. I’ve always had an aversion 2 critics. Mention the phrase I get image of pale white teens dressed in black in teenage bedrooms masturbating to the feyness of TheSmiths. Trying to be seen & profound yet never contributing to the art form itself. Disengaged cultural onanism,

I’ve just given money to a musician who is so successful he was hugely ripped off for years and doesn’t own his songs and yet he’s still a billionaire. The band the Beatles could have been. The other is a book about dying that will help me with my own book about that.

Spot on of course and from a foundational text. The arch capitalists of our time will strip the planet bare for an extra one pence per transaction. In doing so hey will take your freedoms so that you can’t fight back.

Looking forward to reading this and quietly tearing it apart in my head, or not. Depends on what it says.

Buying vinyl & CD has revitalised my music listening. I’d almost forgotten about the power of the ritual of physical selection & placement and its power in physical media.

Physical media demands you listen but streaming is just a wallpaper soundtrack to a distracted life.

Just ordered these.

When we had the death penalty there were more violent crimes per capita and a number of people died that were innocent. I suppose he knows he’ll kill innocents does he? These ppl like Rupert Lowe are insane as they realise they themselves will soon be gone having done nothing of any real value.

A while ago I bought one of these Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline - 3-Tone Sunburst for £170 second hand. And I’m practically living on it. Wish I’d got one years ago.
