The thing is, the BBC is the public broadcaster, which means it must be inclusive. That makes it left-wing almost by definition. If you couldn't accuse the BBC of some degree of left-wing bias, it wouldn't be doing its job. But it does not have a job to be right-wing.

I didn't, but I do question everything. My 11 year old son does too, and he's autistic, so I don't know whether it's an autism thing. He's pretty extreme, though - he won't be told anything.

I don't think there's any problem in principle with having someone locally setting local priorities for policing, who isn't the police. But for sure the PCC doesn't appear anywhere to have fulfilled that role effectively.
