Writer, muser, cynic. The man behind WNBAlien, currently seen at @herhoopstats.com and various other portals over the years. Occasionally considered knowledgeable about WNBA CBA and salary matters. Views are my own. He/him.
I hesitate to even use the word 'getting', but this is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, I think they probably wave this off on review. Which might've caused a riot in the arena. #WNBA

Not entirely sure that would've counted. But hell of an effort with 0.3 left. #WNBA

Young missed, but this is criminal. Leave Bell and pick up the damn ball, yeesh. #WNBA

They're still not really bothering to post over here, so the All-Defensive teams, finally announced: #WNBA
October 8, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Aha! An update. #WNBA

The US will be making the short trip to Puerto Rico, Senegal are probably pretty happy, and if Brazil somehow don't make it this time they only have themselves to blame. #FIBAWWC

Jackie Young is absurd. #WNBA

Chelsea Gray vs Playoff Chelsea Gray. #WNBA

15 minutes early so I'm not too worried yet, but League Pass stream for Game 1 is currently showing this. Gotta love a strong start. #WNBA

Below is the pool of officials for the Finals. Only change from the group that worked the semis is Ashley Gloss is gone and Suffren/Wooten are apparently only 'alternates'. No idea why you wouldn't have one of the main pool at each game as the alternate, but hey. #WNBA
October 3, 2025 at 11:37 PM
Whichever clubs you're with, in whatever sport, this is pretty freaking ridiculous.
October 3, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Unless I missed it, the league seems to have skipped/postponed a couple of scheduled award announcements. Did somebody decide it might've been a little awkward to announce Napheesa Collier on an All-Defensive team on Wednesday? #WNBA

Don't know if anyone else can see it, but I think there's a small error on this pop-up on the official site.

Tonight's officials 👇. So it's the crew from Game 4 in Phoenix, except with Barnett swapped in for Bonner. #WNBA
September 30, 2025 at 11:56 PM
By the way, remember when they sold 16% of the league for about 1/4 of what a single franchise is now going for, partly in order to improve their digital output? #WNBA
September 30, 2025 at 8:22 PM
They showed like 7 replays of this, didn't mention once that there was kind of a reason that Jackie was open... #WNBA
September 28, 2025 at 8:29 PM
It's pretty uncommon that the exact same three-person officiating crew would work consecutive games together, without even one change. Which means this listed group for Vegas-Indiana today feels like a pretty intentional choice... #WNBA

Brutal fourth quarter boxscore for Minnesota (and it felt like Phoenix got way more offensive boards than they were credited with). Collier only took one shot, and only Kliundikova hit any. #WNBA

Arsenal players showing up for a sexy funeral but Emily Fox really doesn't care that the guy's dead.
September 22, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Makes sense. Lots of college experience, been in the USA Basketball setup for a long time, and with the Worlds in September next year it would've been awkward for any currently-employed WNBA coach to take it on. 2026 is gonna be tricky, though. Maybe biggest chance for non-USA win in decades. #WNBA
September 22, 2025 at 4:32 PM
And by way of comparison, here we have the third quarter and fourth quarter charts for Phoenix. Quite a stark difference. #WNBA
September 21, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Phoenix's slightly ridiculous first-half shotchart. They don't just have 42 points in the paint, they have 36 points from inside the restricted area. #WNBA
September 21, 2025 at 9:49 PM
4th quarter box for New York. Note all those 0s down the right-hand side. #WNBA
September 20, 2025 at 3:25 AM
It was really tight, but yeah, wouldn't have counted anyway: #WNBA
