What is terrifying about this (besides the event itself) is it’s a clear indication of bad hiring screening (esp psych) and training procedures. These guys are ticking time bombs of over arrogant and under prepared.

Being able to facial ID with just what can be seen is different from being able to "remove the mask" and reconstruct the face. AI can't do the latter, but, as we all know from iPhone's Face ID, it can do the former.
