Books Read 2025 begins! 《鬼燈的冷徹》by 江口夏實. I've finished up volumes 1-28, a great series about a demon who is the Chief in Staff to one of the King of Hells. The series is pretty well-researched and adapted a lot of great characters from Japanese, Chinese and even western folklore.

Musing with some teammates earlier this week that it's almost the end of the year but thanks to work weirdness, everything just got more harried rather then winding down. Feels like some bad management trying to justify themselves and the grunts (us) getting the brunt of it (as usual)?

Out of all the slight upheavals in life that have happened to me this year, (industry-job change, having to move quite suddenly, etc) the most unexpected so far has been the "felt something for someone in the romantic sense after X+ years"? Pretty unsettling but also tiring in ways.

Terrible but at the same time glorious to finally spend a Saturday mostly in bed and listening to the latest music I am obsessed with on loop.

being so ridiculously busy at work that time flies is good to an extent. a lot less errant thoughts in my mind. what becomes less great is not having the time or energy to do any other stuff. the only hobby i had for these past months was reading gl web novels on the subway to and from work...

fascinating today to really see the disparity of the affluent enough to avoid public transport totally versus a plebeian like myself who is dependent on it.

Looks like it's hit the year where all my stuff starts to break down? The luggage and daily carry bag were showing signs of wear and breakage during my recent trip but this week, my three year old mobile phone without warning, just went black and died on me too...

Been a weird week receiving not so great news from different friends. Ended up spending most of it working from home due to a weird cough-cold but there's just still so much fatigue. Know it's likely just the illness, but work and life just feels extremely frustrating and bleak.
