I hate age verification as much as the next guy but Twitch are pretty clear that the system they are using is entirely on-device and the photos aren't being stored. Given data protection laws they would definitely be in a heap of shit if they were lying about this.

so apparently the Digiblast actually outputs RGB video through the TV-out port which is converted to composite via an AD723 chip. times like this I wish I had the soldering and electrical engineering skills necessary to make an actual RGB cable so I could capture in much higher quality.

Bubsy Collection EXE has some strings indicating the redream was compiled in. Guess LRG are going to be doing a Dreamcast title soon?

I have finally completed and released version 1.0.0 of Tonic Trouble Fix! This is a complete, all-in-one tool to allow running Tonic Trouble on modern computers along with enhancements like windowed mode, widescreen, antialiasing, full controller support and more!

that would probably be the Encore version, which did have a coloured label but a different one. The one I found almost certainly comes from around the game's release based on the ringcode which makes me curious as to how it was distributed.

The ringcode on the disc is an interesting one, it's close to the normal US one, but has a slightly lower serial indicating that it is an earlier print run, and also has the curious text "RAYMAN2MAIL". Perhaps this was some mail order or prize version of the game?

Obtained this version of Rayman 2 today. The original US big-box version of Rayman 2 came with a monochrome green label, so this version stood out to me since it looked just like that version, but with a coloured label instead.

Does anyone know of a tool that is able to identify bitmap fonts from an image, or any collection of commonly used bitmap fonts that I can browse? In particular I'm looking for the font that is used on the ringcode for Sony mastered optical discs.

today in weird Rayman discoveries: apparently Rayman M was reprinted on PS2 sometime after 2010 (as evidenced by the green PEGI rating), but seemingly only in Greece (at least I can only find it being sold on auction sites there).

like even the descriptions of some of the videos seem like they are completely official. did some official music uploads somehow end up getting tied to this unofficial channel?

I don't even remember subscribing to this PaRappa channel and I just got bombarded with a bunch of uploads that seem official, they have the verified artist badge next to the username. But then I check the channel description and it just reads "this is not an official parappa channel".

working on the Tonic Trouble fix, (I needed to rewrite the video blitter for 24-bit colour support) and it turns out the game stores the video buffer vertically flipped for some reason?
