I fully believe 90% of author-artists should focus on their own stories and ideas even if that means they can only moonlight as a creator. It’s actually so stupid that this career can’t support a living when comics make the publishers and rights-holders a billion dollars a year.

God that sucks!! I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do but it’s so fuckin hard starting from zero again after years spent hustling to stay in animation. Nothing pays enough, or has any kind of benefits; and freelance is too lean for the same reasons the industry is. Feels like a dead end

Im infuriated at the breadth of talent and passion being squandered by these shortsighted mega conglomerates.
