Scarlet Morning is one of the best novels I’ve read in years. A genuinely thrilling pirate adventure that made me feel exactly how I felt as a kid reading Lemony Snicket for the first time.

Affirmations
There is a deep ache where my empathy lives. It churns uncomfortably as I go about my day. The thick shroud overlaid on reality makes me think it is already over, like the dying light of a distant star; an afterimage of a world consumed. It’s not true. I must remember the scent of blooming flowers and enjoy the warmth of our persevering sun. It rises because it must. and so will I.

so i've been working on a comic for the past year(ish) now, and it's finally done! been eager to finally put it out into the world and hope you enjoy!

Anyway, this is T.V. Dad
panel 1 - A title screen akin to the sitcoms of the 1950's. It reads "Franklin Studios presents... T.V. DAD! America's favorite dad!" With the heads of the 4 characters floating around. A dad with a fedora and a pipe, a mom, a little brother and a big sister. panel 2 - Dad is sitting in the back at a kitchen table with his face covered by a newspaper, mom is in the foreground with eggs in a skillet. Dad says "Mmmmm! What's cookin', dear?" Mom says "Eggs, Honey! Your favorite!" panel 3 - Close on Dad, he says "Hot DOG! Lucky me!". We can see closer at the front of the newspaper which reads "A TOTAL DISASTER! Contaminated water supply makes population believe they're in the 1950's." panel 1 - Dad says "Crazy news cycle today!" Audience laughs "HA HA HA HA HA" panel 2 - Son and daughter are running down stairs. Son cries out "DAD! Liv broke my toy!" Daughter responds "He was SNOOPING in my DIARY!" panel 3 - Son and daughter run in, Daughter: "I told you not to go through my things, you TWERP!", Dad: "WHOA, KIDS! Where's the fire!?" panel 4 - Son and Daughter are circling Dad, who looks confused, as audience laughs. Son says "I wasn't snooping! You left it open on your bed!" Daughter says "Did not, you little liar!" Son says "Did too!" panel 5 - Daughter: "You should learn to respect my privacy!" Son: "You should cool it! panel 6 - Son: "I don't think ROBBIE is gonna wanna date someone so violent." Audience "Oooooo"'s panel 1 - Daughter, enraged: "You DID snoop! UGH!!" panel 2 - Daughter chasing son around Dad. Daughter says "I can't BELIEVE you would do this to me! Dad, DO something!" panel 3 - Son: "She's going crazy!! Dad, DO something!" panel 4 - Both son and daughter are whipping around Dad speedily chasing eachother round and round, Dad looking worried. Both are chanting "DAD! DAD! DAD! DAD!" panel 5 - Dad shoots out of chair and stands up, Dad shouts: "ENOUGH!!!" panel 6 - Dad looks stern, looking at two children, who are silent and attentive.
