Dick Durbin gave me my first real job in politics. He and Loretta have been friends and mentors to me and Neil. ❤️

I know that this decision must have been hard for him to make. But we do have so much talent in Illinois. I’m excited to see what comes next.
The decision of whether to run for re-election has not been easy. I truly love the job of being a United States Senator.

But in my heart, I know it’s time to pass the torch.

So, I am announcing today that I will not be seeking re-election at the end of my term.

Here we go again! Instead of focusing on ways to make Missourians lives easier, politicians in Jefferson City are focused on overturning the will of the people.
The Missouri House passed a proposed constitutional amendment Thursday that would once again ban most abortions in the state.

If the resolution were to pass the Senate, it would need to be approved by voters to go into effect.

Planned Parenthood respects the right to peaceful protest. But, harassing and intimidating people for seeking health care is just too much.
