IShowSpeeds democratization is still expanding and growing even after the Ronaldo Collab. Including doing collabs with Mr.Beast, KSI, Kai Cenat, and even collaborated with the gaming platform, Fortnite. This all started from a young kid making Youtube gaming videos in his bedroom.

Not only had IShowSpeed become a great known fan of Ronaldo but he was specifically called out to him and was able to have a one on one photo. Fans, both Ronaldo and IShowSpeed, had lost their minds when this photo came out. Making the internet go bananas.

IShowSpeed started gaining fame using the famous platforms of Youtube and Twitch. He would showcase himself raging and barking while playing all kinds of video games. Other creators would then take clips from these streams and post it as shorts or reels all sorts of social media.

My example of someone who had become extremely famous within the last 5 years would be famous Youtuber, Darren, also known as "IShowSpeed". IShowSpeed is an excellent example of someone who used democratization of the web to become famous.

Going more in depth of what this question is really asking. After reading the CyberInfo Blog its safe to conclude catfishing is creating a fake identity for yourself. Not only do people use this tactic for sexual relations but also for fraud and scams.

Firstly, lets completely define what "catfishing" really is? According to Proofpoint catfishing is a method of romance fraud. It's impersonating someone on dating cites or social media to draw in prospects!

Another Article from Distilled goes in depth of how the phrase "On the internet no one knows you are a dog" helps us identify online identity. On the internet you can make it so you have a cloak of invisibility. Posting whatever you choose about yourself you are able to re-identify yourself.

According to Smithsonian magazine the phrase was first introduced in 1933 in a cartoon about two dogs sitting at the computer. Though back then the phrase did not have much meaning it heavily foreshadowed how social media would change the social world for humans forever.
