Had a great time helping out at the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences conference at the Millennium Stadium this week and was very touched and happy that the team bought me this awesome Lego plum blossom. These trees bloom in winter and remind us that even in the darkest times there is beauty.

My science buddy Sabarni gave me a signed copy of his book today, written in Bengali and about birds, the animal, cultural totem, and folkloric creature, I may have to learn a new language! Such a beautiful artefact that I will treasure.

I listened to the English Teacher album a lot when they won the Mercury but in the last few weeks I've relistened many times & I totally love it now, especially Broken Biscuits. Did you also know that the world's biggest pavement slab is an actual thing & it's in Colne, the town where Lily grew up?

Not sure if I've talked about my love for THE VAST OF NIGHT on here before, but I LOVE it.I randomly discovered it in lockdown and watched it at least 5 times. If you can't sleep in the summer heat it's the perfect movie. Beautifully made and deeply vibey. But I've never met a person who's seen it 😢
