The big guy came down today! He waited for me to go inside after setting out the treats.
I'm having a lot of visitors so I may need to switch up the buffet. Probably gonna start getting some in shell peanuts in the big bag.

Since they hang out a bit longer I can make out more nuances on the male (right) of this couple.
I also appreciate that you can tell he's holding onto treats by his neck buldging a little bit.

This guy is new he's a bit bigger than the usual couple and he's pretty hesitant since he sees me at the window taking photos.

Oh just late friends today. I believe this is the regular lady who comes to visit. The male came just before her but he was too quick for me to get a photo.

Just put food out for the crows. No one has popped out yet. I think because I set out food last night and this morning around 7 am I got some loud calls from the balcony and I went out there and picking up goodies
Maybe the call was a thank you?

The male usually doesn't come down if I'm outside. He hangs back until I go back inside. He's definitely cautious of me but big strides in our building trust that I'm not a big scary monster. I'm just a friend with food.

Got some long exposures on this blurry ass camera of some stratus and stratocumulus but no Northern Lights
We do get a lot of light pollution but I was able to catch stuff a couple years back.

Test print for a lino stamp. Trying to see what texture I needed to carve away. The texture on the beak is intentional. I love the way this looks.
No fancy equipment. I drew a design on a post it note transfered it back and forth with a soft B pencil and the back of a wooden spoon.

I didn't see them when I first went out to get treats. I set out new water - it's been pretty windy lately so water helps hold the treats and weighs down the bowl plus nice fresh water for them. As I set it out I heard the caws and saw my 2 regular visitors.

Omg as I was writing the precious post I noticed one perch up and let me stand by the window without flitting off. I think she was looking at me or my shadow not sure what all she can see from the glare off the window.
But for curiosity, I went back outside and see how close she'd let me be.

My cat is very curious about the birds. No conflicts yet. And I never let him outside while the treats are out.
He gets his treat first and I talk to him about how the birds are friends, they're just getting food.

One of my friends gave me this CD in middle school to borrow and I accidentally kept it. I'll have to see if I still have it.

I got to talk to them through the screen!! The one closer to lens in the first photo caw'ed after I said hi. A third one was swooping in the area and they didn't clash or anything but I asked them if they were being greedy.
