Also a long time gamer, i love fps games, coop games and RTS.
I can probably use this approach in my game now for extra practice, switching between the journal system and pause menu, inventory and chat boxes, and then drag all of them into the main level scene? Might be slightly less optimised than one big UI tree, but more small scale and beginner friendly?

i came to Godot from Unreal Engine, and i plan to stay on Godot for a long time!
Unreal Engine is big and heavy and for me as a solo dev quite annoying. Due to me studying front-end i wanna write actual code and not use blueprints aswell to broaden my experience.
So i plan to stay on Godot :D

Thats because of the region. In the OBS scene select the capture device (game, screen etc) and right click inside the red box in the recording preview, select transform -> fit to screen. That will fix it automatically.
For manual fix drag the red box so it covers the entire screen.

I second this, OBS is amazing and is easy to set up. I too don't know about Bluesky compression but i am fairly certain the quality will be better than gifs.
