I'm so upset about this Columbia student being "disappeared" by our government. Where did they put him? I walk by Columbia all the time and think about this happening right here.

I do love my Saturday morning ritual of listening to @onthemedia.bsky.social , but ouch when a quote from Goebbels meets the times. “Joseph Goebbels once declared, “This will always remain one of the best jokes of democracy, that it gave its deadly enemies the means by which it was destroyed.”

Celebrating our new name Undue Medical Debt. Same mission of erasing people's medical bills. Some didn't like the name RIP Medical Debt, and we needed a new website which showed more of the actual people we've helped and the cool collaborations with community and policy groups. Love my work!

"Medical men who frequently go to law to recover fees generally lose more in the end than they gain; not only because such attempts to recover often prove fruitless, but because they excite prejudice and make influential enemies". From 1882 manual for physicians, quoted in this book by Luke Messac.

It's fine to focus on hospital financial assistance but why not solve the root of the problem? We've designed health insurance to have huge out of pocket. Federal law lists max out of pocket at 9k for a single plan and 18K for family. Insane. thehill.com/homenews/sen...
