Bird watching brings me much joy as does painting. In January I started watercolor painting and birds are my favorite subject. Finding your peace in a crazy world is so important. 💙

I started the New Year by reading Weyward by Emilia Hart. A story of three resilient women across time, and each abused by the men in their lives. The book has beautiful descriptive prose, is atmospheric & just enough of a witchy fantasy to appeal to readers of both the fiction and fantasy genres.

In Iceland, on Christmas Eve, people give each other books so they can spend the evening drinking cocoa & reading. It’s called, Jolabokaflod, the Christmas book flood. I’ve never been more in love with Iceland than I am right now ♥️♥️
