31 is slow along St John’s / Corstorphine end these days with roadworks. I’m tending to take 1 from Lothian Road rather than 26/31 from Shandwick place. Not necessarily faster but at least it keeps moving.

I like the Everyman, but the Vue across the road often wins out for me - it's a chunk cheaper and you can't beat those recliners for a mid-film nap. Everyman cafe-bar is far and away the nicest space in the SJQ though.

I suspect Ryanair have worked out that every negative headline results in sales of tickets to people who see “Ryanair” and immediately think they fancy a city break.

It’s where a lot of my “breakfast and scenery” content comes from - folk who’ve posted “here’s a nice picture of Edinburgh” and I can see they’re local and, y’know, sort of normal, so…

Do you have any local feeds? There’s one which picks up posts mentioning my city and it’s a good way of adding some local news to the geopolitics. Find a lot of people to follow there as well.
