In their defense, however (rare for me to do): they have invited every other CMS head to speak at their conference, and generally CMS head does come. So it is a bit of a no-win for them here, politically.

It may be somewhat discipline dependent, but in medicine I find the error rate alarmingly high, and often its errors are subtle enough that it’s challenging to pick up if you don’t know the topic well.
