I had to upgrade my PC for Monster Hunter World in 2018 and Elden Ring in 2022 and Starfield in 2023 (sucked tho) and haven't quite upgraded for anything else yet. Looks like I missed the window I should have.

makes sense, but speaking from experience you may have to upgrade parts of your PC to play the newest AAA games
Sometimes the PC parts are expensive and comparable to console prices, but I haven't checked console prices in... probably 10 years... to know if that still holds
