Now that I've had more time to research it, the way this finish is actually achieved is by plating just the backside of the clear yellow with Gold chrome.
It's a really good look, but it's not easy to manufacture, and that way this kit is about $150.

Building the MG Rick Dias really has me wanting to build some of the older MG's that I never picked up.

We are becoming a 1 income household for a while, so stupid spending on plastic will have to be reduced for a while.

Apparently in some 08th MS Team manga they had banana clips for the machine gun and a special backpack to automatically reload.

I am happy that even in physical I can still see this guy out of the corner of my eye and see the very long faceplate and tiny purple visor eye that I saw in the original blurry photo we got of him.
