Heading to D.C. early for #NoKings. My sentiments for tomorrow, in red, white, and blue, because I don’t hate this country, just the awful way it is being run. Thanks for the inspiration @remhq.bsky.social @millsish.bsky.social @michaelstipe.bsky.social !

I was a group leader for an overnight college orientation program. During that week, I had a bunch of people at orientation sign a copy of the new debut LP by Frehley’s Comet and raffled it off to a guy living on my dorm floor. Of all the goofy things I have done, that is one of my favorites.

My brother-in-law Roy took these fun photos of me giving a tour at Laurel Hill Cemetery yesterday.

43 years ago today, at this exact time, I was watching Blondie play the last show they’d do for 15 years, live at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. This live album was recorded three days before the JFK show. The photo was taken at JFK. I did not take it, but, amazingly, found it at my job circa 1990.

Taking wisdom from our recently-departed visionaries, via this two-sided sign, to the No More Kings rally in Philadelphia, a city that knows something about “no more kings.” Be safe if you are out today! #nomorekings #loveandmercy #everydaypeople

Call your senators and representatives and demand that they launch impeachment proceedings against the president for his blatant disregard for the Supreme Court regarding the Abrego Garcia case. And call them about the other issues you care about as well!

It was great seeing Lydia Loveless and Patterson Hood at Sellersville Theater tonight! And note the similarity of Patterson’s 1938 Gene Autry guitar to my mom’s. @jncsmom465.bsky.social

It is amazing that the richest person on this planet is such a worthless piece of garbage. Or maybe it’s not amazing at all.

Picked up this excellent two-disc compilation of music by “exotica” pioneer Les Baxter at @matones-music.bsky.social last night. Perfect Sunday morning coffee soundtrack. Also, Shirley and Company said it would be a shame, shame, shame if I didn’t remind you I am giving a tour at Laurel Hill today!

Meditating on my Presidential Connections tour at Laurel Hill Cemetery tomorrow afternoon by listening to Shirley and Company, who are forever connected to a seemingly annoyed President Nixon via this 1974 album cover.

Led Zeppelin is not a go-to band for my wife Donna but she loves Fool in the Rain. I just picked up this 45 on Monday with Hot Dog being the b-side.

Visited the Cloisters Museum in upper Manhattan today. I found myself particularly entranced by all of the Mary and infant Jesus statues today. The expressions on the faces are indescribably beautiful.
